Antarctica is technically a politically neutral land mass with various territorial claims on it.

The game was played in Czech, English, French, Hindi (momentarily, and not so much Hindi as Hindi-pop-culture-reference), Italian, Norwegian, and Swedish.

The game started as “Play is training for the unexpected”, a sort-of quote from the title of a paper by biologists Marek Spinka, Ruth C. Newberry and Marc Bekoff. It finished in 5 different places as:

A quick note on maps

I’ve done four maps showing the route of the Game: one overall world map, and zoomed-in maps for Australia, the 48 contiguous states of the USA and North Carolina. This is because at the world level it gets a bit hard to make out the detail of how the game travelled in those regions.

it splits into two parallel chains or “forks” – and then later it splits again!

A substitute teacher who had not been part of the preparations for playing the GGG was in charge of this step of the GGG. Owing to the entirely understandable chaos that arises when a substitute teacher has to be called in, that teacher passed on their starting phrase instead of their final phrase. About PM

I've worked in theatre, publishing, game design and libraries. I've engaged in unpaid film production, and human rights campaigning. I'm interested in all the above and more - governance, the sciences, the arts, economics, the mind, philosophy, games, fiction.
